Summary
Primary Care Nurse
Co-Founder of the Pinehouse Photography Club
Children's Book Author
Drawing from extensive experience in ICU and ER settings, Dre has transitioned to specializing in remote primary care nursing. His current focus revolves around serving the Métis and First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan, delivering essential healthcare services tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
After experiencing personal grief and loss, Dre turned to therapeutic photography. His captivating images of the northern Saskatchewan aurora borealis grabbed the attention of local youth. Through this, he discovered not just the prevalence of youth struggling with addiction and mental health issues, but also how the simple act of photography could aid them. This realization led to the creation of the Pinehouse Photography Club.
Dre's newest book, "The Little Boy Who Found Happiness in the Most Unusual Place," delves into the real-life journey of a local youth who grappled with his father's suicide at a young age. The narrative not only explores his process of coping and healing but also sheds light on how his engagement with photography became a powerful tool in his own recovery and, ultimately, in aiding others through their own struggles.

Dre always has magnificent photos, but I enjoy his quotes nearly as much as the aurora. He has done so much to help the youth find their true calling and cares for his community. I hope to meet him one day.
